An AMP Idea Festival is an event in which one (1) singular topic of community interest is broken down into smaller parts, analyzed, discussed and recommendations of action are presented...all in 1 day. The model is a hybrid of the Aspen model and other international think tank methods. Previously prepared documents, videos, and discussions are disseminated and shared throughout the community prior to the event to provide background and a basic understanding of the topic at hand. Rules for ethical and orderly discussion are strictly enforced at the event, which is open to the public. Each local music festival will involve a moderator/facilitator and a three-member panel made up of locally recognized experts on the topic.
